The Authentic Mexican Cooking Experience in Cabo San Lucas

Meet Chef Issi and get ready to spend a Fun Cooking and Eating day. The cooking morning begins with a visit to some of the Local Spice Markets for the ingredients to cook the dishes and Salsas of the day, you will also visit a "Tortillería" to get the fresh dough which will be used to hand make your own corn tortillas.

After selecting and shopping the produces, we will go to the home of Chef Issi for the hands-on cooking class in a warm and authentic "Mi Casa es su Casa atmosphere" Chef Issi and his family will share with you the most traditional recipes and cooking techniques of México. Indulge yourself into the delicious meals that are crafted by the locals.

And the best of all: you eat and enjoy the fruit of your labour. An authentic local family experience!!


ü The food markets we visit are not fancy, these are the places where vendors sell indigenous produces and where the local people go for the original flavors..
ü All our dishes are cooked from scratch.
ü We buy all ingredients on the day of the class, therefore all our menues can be modified and we will always be happy to add a second recipe to the meal of the day.
ü We pay special attention to hygiene and we observe high cleanliness standards. We purify all vegetables, water and ice.
ü Vegetarians, Vegans, Gluten and Dairy Free are more than welcome.

Monday: Mole Poblano

from scratch.

We open our week with the king of the Mexican Sauces: Mole Poblano like a Mexican family would do on a Fiesta Day.

You will learn how to blend all the chiles, chocolate and more than 25 ingredientes in a fine Mole Sauce. We will also make Tamales, Salsas, Guacamole and Home Made Tortillas.

Tuesday: Tamales like abuelita


You will learn to cook the filling of a good tamal and the most exquisite salsas to garnish for a feast of Flavors and fun. Our grandma’s recipes.

Wednesday: Beef Birria in Adobo Sauce


Adobo is the richest Mexican seasoner and it will make of the Beef Birria the most exquisite meat for you to delight your palate. The Salsas and the Tortillas you will cook will make the perfect blend of Flavor.

Thursday: Baja Sea Food and Paella


We will go to the Fish Market to select the catch of the day to make the freshest Ceviche and Paella Baja Style, for an Authentic Ocean to Table.

Friday: Mexican Swine and Dine


Pastor or Carnitas, Salsa, Guacamole, Tortillas and a few side dishes will make an exquisite swine feast.

You will learn how to cook and season at home these flavorful recipes and at least 4 different Salsas and Guacamole. Taquería Style.

ABOUT THE COOKING CLASS
Runs: Daily but Sundays.
Duration: 4 to 5 hours.
PRICE ADULT $87 USD - KIDS (7 to 14) $67USD
INCLUDES: Shopping visit to the spice and produces stores; bottles of water, soft drinks, all ingredients, cooking class for a full Mexican meal in the home of the Chef: hand made tortillas, salsas and guacamole, side dishes or soup and a main course.
Meeting time and place (by reservation): 11:00 am at the main entry of Puerto Paraiso shopping centre; beside Scotia Bank office.
Private Classes, Corporate Groups and Team Building classes available upon request.

All Prices and fees are in USD. A full payment is required prior to your cooking class.

Reservations can be made 90 days prior to the day before the cooking class (subject to availability) Payments can easily be made with credit card through our booking system

CANCELLATION POLICIES
Our cooking class takes place rain or shine. Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the cooking class will receive a 50% refund. All cancelations within less than 48 hours and no-shows will not be refunded. In the event that you need to reschedule the date of your cooking class, please let us know at least 48 hrs before. Rescheduling of the cooking class is subject to availability- a refund will not be provided. In the case we have to cancel your cooking class due to unforeseen circumstances you will receive a full refund.
